I have a bit of a weird issue using a VGA adapter with my Mac Mini here. Hoping someone out there has a solution.

I am using the base mac mini + mini display to VGA adapter + high end 21" CRT monitor.

It works fine, with one oddity. When booting into Windows 7, via bootcamp, the screen goes black while the normal Windows 7 bootscreen is loading. So I get the white startup screen, nothing but black (or no signal)... then finally my login screen for Windows 7. This isn't a major, major deal, but if I ever need to go into safemode or things like that, I am working blind, as there is nothing being displayed on the screen during normal bootup.

Any ideas there? I figure the VGA adapter is for some reason misreading the EDID info for the CRT, thinking the monitor can't display at certain resolutions? I should mention bootup works fine on an LCD using the VGA adpater, so it's something specific with the VGA adapter + CRT screen that is causing the problem. Tried two CRTs, same issue.
