VHS to Photos App Resolution

Hello!
This may sound dumb but I'm very confused.
I bought a USB converter to convert my VHS to digital videos, however, I'm not sure what resolution to record them in.
640x480
OR
720x480
Help would be great!

I would say to record in 720 x 480, however it won't really matter too much since it will record the quality of the VHS. If it's fuzzy or has lines thru it, that will get transferred over to the video file.
