Hey there.
I usually use the silent mode (no vibration) when at work. Any way I could set vibration on JUST for calls? Maybe there's a built in option for this but I don't know about it.

Thanks!

What I do is set the call ringtone to a blank audio file and have it vibrate with call ringtones. I don't know if there's a real way to do this, but what I do works.

Just so I'm clear, you want everything silent except you want calls to vibrate, correct?

Oh wow that's an interesting work around. I never thought of that.

Vibration only for calls?

Give this a shot. Use quicktime player and make a new silent audio recording for roughly 5-10 secs. once finished, export the audio file to the desktop or which ever place you prefer. export the file with 'audio only (.m4a)' format. change the .m4a format to .m4r. take the modified file and place into the ringtones folder.

use ifunbox or something alike to move the file.
(ex. nosound.m4r > var/stash/ringtones).

to test it out.
from the iphone homescreen > settings > sounds > enable both vibrate on ring and vibrate on silent > go to ringtones > select nosound.m4r). make sure the mute switch is not turned off.

From there do a test call. if it works. good job.

Yup. That's exactly what I want. But only when I put the phone into silent mode. If normal, I want everything to ring as normal.

Not exactly what I want.
I'd like the phone to behave completely normal. Everything ringing when sound is on, and everything silent when the phone has been silent. Vibration off in both cases BUT when only in Silent Mode that I'd like only incoming calls to vibrate.

I guess there isn't a tweak for this. :(

Thanks anyways!

Well I wouldn't give up hope just yet. I don't use any ringtone type of tweak nor anything even remotely close to this for that matter, but ill do some searching in Cydia. There are several really popular ringtone type tweaks. Who knows, maybe one of these will give you this ability? I know I've seen tweaks that allow for much greater customization of the entire "Sounds" section in the settings app. Ill do some searching and ill post anything that I come across which might help you.

Hey give SBProfiles a try. It's free. It allows for a lot of customizations and you could set up a profile for work and then a profile for everything else. It should allow you to set everything on silent except vibrate for phone calls. You can have the selecting of profiles automated by either GPS, connection to certain wifi networks, and I think you can also set times. Or you can just manually select the profile for work when you arrive and then change profiles or disable it altogether when you leave.

This was the first thing I found that might accomplish your goals. Ill keep looking if this doesn't work. But it's worth a shot. It's free!

Let me know if this works or not. Thanks!
