I have a chance to pick up a PB 15" at a great price from a friend. Only problem is that you have to move the screen around sometimes to get the bottem 1/3 to display.

I am guessing that the cable got crimped and is bad, I have found the cable for sale but it was $179 and used at that.

Is there a source for parts like this ? (other than apple)

Thanks,

I just purchased a used powerbook with the same problem: the repair sounds like a bit of a pain though. How did it work out for you? It sounds like the hardest part is taking the screen apart.
