Video cannot be played on this iPad

Is there any rhyme or reason to this message? I have an mp4 (H.264 AND AAC) that can not by synced through iTunes yet if I put the file in directly through GoodReader (just one example) the video will play without issue.

Is it a resolution issue? My video is 1024x576.
