In preparation of a new iPod, I am trying to convert some movies to mpeg4 or H.264. I know there are a ton of threads, I have searched and read ad naseum, but none for my specific questions.

  1. iSquint: I keep getting error messages, tried dragging Video_TS (made using MTR) as well as the movie folder (both video +audio_TS). Which file exactly do you drag to use iSquint???
  2. I used Handbrake to convert a movie to mpeg4 but did not use the two-pass encoding. Is that why the movie is choppy and skippy at times? It is an animated movie and you can see lines next to the characters at times.
  3. How do you convert a season of a show? In Handbrake it showed about 20 chapters but there are only 6 episodes, and it won't allow you to select them all? Can you do them one episode at a time?

One last question a little off topic: How do you delete a video from iTunes? I would like to delete the animated movie that is choppy from my library and replace it with a better quality video once I learn how??

Again sorry if this repeats questions, but there are too many technical responses for me to understand in the other threads.

Any response would be great, Thanks

I can only answer one right now.

The choice to do one-pass encoding is not the cuse for skippiness. It will only affect video quality, which is why you may be seeing artifacting in the forms of blocks or lines, as you mentioned.
