I'm surprised that anyone is surprised by this?
For all users who already feel like their iPads have replaced their Macs in usage, give Air Video Server a try. Even over 3G, the picture looks pretty good. AT&T may eventually decide to throttle that somehow but you control the streaming server with that solution. And since you aren't using your Mac as often, it helps to give it something useful to do!
