video files mpg

[Zejtun]

Sonoma or Quicktime will not play my mpg files. Also mpg files will not import from my Sony camera. MOV files do play and using another video player, the mpg files play fine.
Same MPG files will import and run properly into photo app on my MBP running Catalina.

Anybody else having this problem?

Thanks, I guess others have problems but no solution. I was in contact with apple for 2 hours but no resolution so far.
Maybe download Sonoma again and reinstall over existing one.
