Thought I would post this video I made for anyone who needs to transfer music from their iPod to Mac It seems many people are helpful on this website so I thought I would post a "how to" video.

Nice video.

Quite an interesting way for putting music onto it. But under what circumstances would you use it for? I guess maybe if you didn't like iTunes.

Would this work on linux?

I made the video for people who needed to transfer there music from the iPod to there mac computer. Let's say you got a new computer and needed to transfer your music.....or if your hard drive crashed and all your music was lost on your computer, but your iPod still has the music on it. Then you could use this method to transfer those songs. AANNNDDD it's free without downloading software....which only gives you a free trial of 500-1000 songs.... then makes you buy it for $49.99.

And then there is exPod, which is free, small and simple. Just saying.

Btw, you also forgot, that the highlighted option has to be checked, otherwise the files will only be linked to.

And using Terminal to show hidden files in Finder will give you access to the files, but there are no real hints on what album you have open and what song you have selected, as the file and folder names are "cryptic".

And it only works with iPods, that can be used as external HDDs, reducing it to the iPod classic and leaving out the iPod touch and iPod nano.

And exPod preserves even playlist. And it is free.

That pretty sweet. They don't do a good job on advertising this app. Probably because it's free.
