Hi,

Well this is probably a really stupid question, but Thursday id my Birthday and I'm getting new 60GB iPod video. Well, I went to add some videos to the 'Video' section of iTunes and I couldn't just drag and drop them in! Do the videos in iTunes have to be purchased from the iTMS or can I import them? I'm pretty sure my videos are in the correct format, just don't know how to get them in. Any tips.

Thanks alot.

Just drop them on the library icon in the source column on the left hand side. Should work. :)

remember though, if you are using WMV for your iPod, you'll need to get it converted somehow before iTunes accepts it. Also, the iPod only accepts a few formats, so you'll need to use Quicktime Pro probably if it still doesn't work.

Yes it seems odd but diatribe is right. you instinctivly would think that you would drop it into the "video" icon in the sidebar (I did too). I thought I was f***ing up the first time I tried. drop them into the "library" icon and you should be fine.

I use VideoraConverter for all mine. It makes them the right size, format, etc. though it sometimes has duration errors and such.

And you can also click "add file" up on the File toolbar and then add it in.

I use mactheripper to copy dvds, then isquint to convert the new dvd file or existing files for that matter to mp4 format.
