video in itunes

whenever i play a video in itunes, itunes will unexpectedly quit for no apparent reason.....the files play fine on their own in QT and VLC....but force itunes to quit

Are you sure the format of the file is supported by itunes? I know some files work on VLC and QT but others will probably not work on the itunes. Maybe it is because of that.

Usually if the particular movie-file is unsupported by iTunes, it won't copy to the iTunes library.
Weird one...

Tried deleting prefs etc?
