Hello,

I have never owned an iphone and never will. My question is general in nature regarding video recorded on iphones, say models three years old up to current ones. What kind of information can be extracted or found in a video recording.

Can I tell if a video has been edited/shortened by examining the recording itself or the phone?

Thanks

The Metadata of a video can easily be seen but it doesn't reveal much. It shows the device, creation date, modification date and a few other less interesting things. If a person had location tagging turned on when the video was shot, the general location where the video was shot can easily be seen as well.

See attached screen shot of typical iPhone video metadata that can easily be seen. Not very helpful in incriminating someone.
