That is really great and all but if you're going to do such a video you should take the time to explain that you are running PDANet on a jailbroken iPhone because isn't that the case?

The worst is having to listen to Steve W. speak ...

I have been doing this on my Air and iPhone with NetShare for almost a year now. Didn't have to jailbreak either.

NetShare was removed from the App Store a few days after release. Were you the lucky few who bought it before it was pulled or is there a way to run the app without JB?

I managed to snag it during that little period. It's been great on trips, etc. Kind of a battery hog though. Hopefully Apple's rumored official solution will be a little more resource-friendly.

I got mine during those few hours it was available on App Store. Just hoping it will still work on v3.0 iPhone! No reason why it shouldn't but one never knows..

I've got NetShare and it's running fine on 3.0 beta 5 for me...

NetShare

Is there any way to get NetShare from someone who was lucky enough to grab it while it was available and then install it on my iPhone? Is this possible?

No, not without jailbreaking. The apps your buy from App Store are tied to your iTunes user-ID. So you can't just copy it to someone else's iPhone.
