Maybe I missed this, but I was looking for an a/v output cable today in an Apple store and an employee told me the iPhone can only output audio via cable output and not video like the video ipod. Is this true? If so, what would be the purpose?
There is no video out, which is very lame. I guess Apple figured that if you got a phone call during a movie that would distract you from your watching pleasure. Also since Apple TV came out Apple expects you to watch Movies through that.
