I'm sorry, I did search the site for "iphone video out" and I checked apple.com but I couldn't find this information.

Does the iPhone have video out? Will I be able to plug in the adapter cable that we use with my fiancee's 5G and hook it into the tv?

It would be very disappointing if this were not possble. :(

Oh, and I'm still hoping for 8-16 gigs.

Exactly. Methinks since the iPhone uses the same 30-pin as the 5G, video out should work exactly the same way.

The iPod nano uses the same 30-pin connector as well, yet has no video out functionality. (That is one of my major gripes. I don't care about playing VIDEOs over it, but I would like to be able to play a slideshow of photos, the same way the iPod Photo could do.)

I'm aware of that, but because the 30 pin is ABLE to do video out, there is no reason that the iPhone would not have video capabilities.
