Hello,
for the past few months I've been trying to find a way to connect an external display to my late 2011 15" MacBook Pro with disabled AMD GPU.
Is there any way at all to do it?
Will that adapter work? https://allegro.pl/oferta/adapter-konwerter-usb-3-0-do-hdmi-karta-graficzna-6863588997 (sorry for a link in some weird language, that's just the first one I've found)
From what I understood, it should work with USB 2.0.
Or do you have any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Maybe that one will work? DisplayLink has macOS drivers for usb to video adapters: https://allegro.pl/oferta/displaylink-kensington-model-m01065-stacja-laptopa-7595189251

I've heard that using USB 2.0 with that adapter you can only get 800x600. Is that true or is there nothing to worry about?

I don’t think so, I remember using it on a 1080p TV and was fine, but check the output specifications before you buy to make sure.

Im trying to resolve the same question. I found that there is DisplayPort MUX that has signals from external graphics (that is turned off) and Integrated as well so probably we'll be able to force it to use signals from HD 3000.
