I have noticed lately I am having problems with my video playback on my MBA. I mainly see the problems using iChat and streaming video from the internet. I thought it sounded like an internet problem, but when I use my iMac I don't have any problems.
Could there be something wrong with my video playback or connection on my MBA?

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

Could this be a result of the MBA overheating?
If so, does the overheating issue warrant taking it into Apple?

Video chat takes A LOT of CPU power. Something the Air was not designed for, power.

The Air has more than enough power to handle a simple video stream. Hell, my girlfriend's 5-year-old Celeron (largest piece of crap ever) can handle it just fine. I would guess that you might be suffering from the common core shutdown problem - there's loads of threads on here about it.

Does a core shutdown warrant taking the MBA into Apple?
