Hi,

Im trying to make video playlists for study, I have several videos on various sections I would like to bind together. (its for networking, and they are INE videos for topics such as OSPF, eigrp and so on.)

I can make the playlist in iTunes, and I can find all the videos in the TV app on my ipad, but I cant find the playlists for each topic.

Help!!!

Paul.

PS - Im new to ipads and macs, please excuse my ignorance but I cant find an answer to this on google.
PPS - I have always found iTunes to be the most hateful bit of software ever

lol iTunes is mostly music but there is a way to create a video playlist inside of iTunes. lol I just checked (who knew). iTunes functions like MS Excel. If you know how to work that then you should be fine.

I'm not sure how much you can change Info on movies. When I want to group a specific genre I will change the genre so that I can locate it fast and isolate the songs. For example, I want to create a mix for Christmas, so I go and find every song I want to add to my Playlist and change the genre to Holiday.

Before adding the Videos to a Playlist, change the genre to something you can easily find...Lets say study. You will need to go to the Info screen to do this on the Mac (Command + I).

Next create a Smart Playlist on your iPad. Connect your iPad to your Mac - open iTunes - Make sure Manually add is selected on your iPad. That's located on the info screen. Then follow the instructions below. You want to create a smart Movie Playlist using the Genre Study or whatever you called it.

Stop hating lol it's really that easy. :)

Another example of having to do elaborate work arounds to do simple stuff you can easily do on other platforms.

Some people who migrate to Apple may have been told about the Playlist, but haven't dig deeper into it. I've worked on both PC and Mac and on the Mac there are less steps and very user friendly. That's if you can peel back the PC vs Mac thing and just look at it as another operating system.

I took him this route because it will be easy to store on his drive for later. And also it creates a folder when you change the genre.
