Hi,

I've been looking into hooking up an iMac Late 2012 27" to my Early 2008 iMac (so it is dual monitor). I am aware that the 2008 Mac has a Mini DVI Port, but the 2012 Mac has a MiniDisplay Port.

So, I have two questions.

I'm looking into getting an adapter, but I can't find any that are Mini DVI -- MiniDisplay. What adapter do I get?

When I get an adapter, how do I connect my 2012 Mac up to my 2008 for an extended monitor?

Thanks heaps!

:)

Even if you find the right adapter you'd need to find some third-party software to solve your problem as per HT204592 the feature you needed isn't supported on your 08 iMac.
