We share videos a lot amongst the family. I have an iPhone 6 and a iPad mini 2. When a video is sent to me via iMessage I get on both devices. When I download the videos to my computer the ones received by the iPhone are a much lower resolution than the same video received by the iPad. That's fine, I have learned to live with that and only archive videos off the iPad. Now the iPhone 7 is out with its higher res screen, I would like to know if iMessage downgrades the videos sent to it also. I am hoping to have the one device instead of an iPhone and an iPad but if videos are down sampled to iPhone 7 it would be a show stopper. Can anyone advise on this?
