hey! i just recently jailbroke my iphone 3g (and am loving it), but i was wondering if anybody figured out how to implement the video recording tab feature (like on the 3gs) into the 3g? if not, what would be the best app to download? i would want to be able to send the videos through the mail app without ssh-ing into it (have no clue how to). thank for the help!

Will it be able to send video through MMS?!

You can send video on a 3g through MMS by forwarding what has been sent to you. On 3.1 firmware you also get the editing feature of the 3gs.

i understand that, but i was wondering if anybody knew of a download from cydia that made it so when you open up the standard camera app, the little toggle switch was in the bottom right hand corner like the 3gs has. all the other video apps are individual apps, i was wondering if anybody had figured out how to combine video right into the camera app...

i dont really care about mms, but that would be cool ^_^

We are hoping for an update from Cycorder or another video recorder app to allow us 3g users to create, save and send video. :(

To answer your question - I'm not aware of anybody having figured out how to make the camera record video from within the stock camera app. There is a simple way to get the 3GS toggle, but it still will not let you record video.
