Video vanished while watching on Mac

I was watching a short video in Photos on a 10.15.7 Mac. I hit the space bar thinking it would play the video but instead it brought me back to the thumbnails. But the video is gone! It’s missing from All Photos, Media Types and is not in the Hidden Photo Album.

What the heck happened?!
