I have a ton of AVI's in my Drobo that I want to put into iTunes so I can see them on my AppleTV2.

Two problems I've noticed:

PROBLEM 1

VideoMonkey's tagging feature is wierd and most of the time broken. So iTunes puts all of these into the Movies's catagory rather than TV.

Is there a better tagging tool than the one in VideoMonkey for iTunes/AppleTV?

PROBLEM 2

When using the AppleTV preset and STANDARD quality, the MP4 file size is always about 25% larger than the AVI. Why?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_0_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8A306 Safari/6531.22.7)

Like the above poster said iflicks is great for meta tagging and even conversion. Just use the "HD 720p" preset and that will covert it to .mov. The conversion is ok timewise and size wise. The files are 25% smaller than the original actually.

I have one problem with iflicks, the artwork for movies is very good but tv shows get rectangular artwork but iTunes likes to use square artwork. Now it's no problem when viewing the artwork on iTunes, but on the new appletv it crops the artwork.

Basically iflicks needs to fix that

Thanks
