There's something with iOS 13 that I find very annoying and was wondering if there's a way to change it When you are scrolling through your photos and videos when you hit a video it will start playing automatically but the sound will be muted. If you turn off the mute by tapping the speaker icon other videos you swipe to will not be muted. However, if you simply leave the photos app and go back into it then the sound is muted again. Is there a way to make 'not muted' the default?

I’ve noticed this as well. I suppose it’s to keep from your phone blaring noise unexpectedly while swiping through the camera roll, but being able to change this behavior with a toggle would be nice.

If it didn’t do this then you’d have all kinds of noises going on from all your videos at the same time. Pretty sure was like this on previous iOS as well

I'm pretty sure it wasn't. I'm not sure how you would get noises from all videos when I'm looking at a single video.

Videos didn’t auto play in iOS 12. Now they do. Having sound going off just browsing would be annoying IMO

Go into settings / photos and turn off
Auto-Play Videos and Live Photo’s to go back to IOS12 behaviour. You have to start the video manually but you don’t have to unmute.
