iPad Pro Videos in window not full screen

I have my 2020 IPP 12.9” (Ver 13.6) That is attached to an external display via a hub. When I am watching movies On Netflix, Prime, or just any video player, I would like to have the video displayed in a window format rather than full screen so I can multitask. This must be possible isn’t it? If it is, instructions would be very much appreciated

I don't think it is when a monitor is attached (I have a monitor, Prime, Netflix and a couple of video players myself).

External display support is ridiculous on iPadOS. It’s not possible to do anything with a display attached. Just stupidity.

Yeah, really needs aspect ratio matching and better multi-windowing support.
