Is there any way to get videos and music to play on the same playlist? I have a nano chromatic... iTunes will play the two together, but the videos won't appear on the music playlist they are in on my iPod. though they do appear in the Video Playlist section. How can I get my videos to play intermittenly with my music?

You have an iPod nano.

I can't imagine that you can mix them, as the concepts are mutually exclusive.

1) I know I have a nano, hence the NANO chromatic. I just said chromatic instead of G4... same dif.

2) It will mix them on iTunes though. So why won't it work on my iPod?

I like the video, but I also like the song. I'm creating a playlist that I wish to include the song. And the video is the only version of the song I have. So I'm not going to be watching the video in this case. And it would be stupid to go to iTunes and waste $.99 for a song I already have just so I can play it in the playlist.

I'm able to play both on my Internet In My Pocket (iPhone). For instance, the Incredibad album by The Lonely Island has about 8 videos. When I created a smart playlist with all The Lonely Island material, all of the videos will sync on that list as long as I have the "include music videos" box checked. I think it actually plays the videos, which reduces battery life, but I seem to remember it just playing the music on my 5th-gen iPod when I used playlists. That is probably not the case on the iPhone software.

So open it with QuickTime, extract the audio file, and copy that to iTunes.
