Hi,

I'm still relatively new to the world of Mac, so pardon my ignorance.

I have a USB drive that I can see all the files when I plug it into my PC because in Folder Options I have "Show Hidden Files, Folders or Drivers" activated.

Is there a way to have something similar on the Mac El Capitan?

I'd like to be able to see all the cache and any hidden files on the USB when I plug it in the Mac as well, but I'd like to be able to turn this off and on.
Nothing permanent.

Thanks for your help.

Just to add: I downloaded Tinker Tool and checked "Show Hidden and System Files" and I still can't see it.

Have you relaunched Finder after changing the setting in TinkerTool? Your thumb drive might not have any hidden files on it.

Kallt, that was the key. Relaunching the Finder.
Yes it had hidden files, the ones I said I saw when I plug it into my Windows computer.
Thanks for your help.....awesome!
