Heya all,

So we have ssd's that contain photos and videos.
We plug it in to our iPad Air 4, and it shows up in files, but we can only view one at the time, is there any way to make them show a slideshow or something? Does Ipad do it at all? I opened the photos app, it seems it does not pick up external drives.

OP specifically said they want to offload data, doesn't need high speed.

They're considering 4TB drives, and you suggested one that's double the price, at half the capacity.

I use file browser, you can do it in that app. Not sure if you can do it with a native app

I tried it with FileBrowser Pro and it worked with a T5 SSD -

It did not copy the files so the slideshow only works when the drive is attached.

Thank you both!
Such an amazing app, we bought it, and makes iPad experience just better.
Any of you know if there is an app that converts pdf to word and backwards? :D

Im so glad I'm on this forum.

I know that MS Word on a PC can do it but even there it's an imperfect process converting from PDF to Word format (and it can take some time). Going from Word docx to PDF works well. Word on the iPad can also do it (Office 365 at least).

I’m sure you can convert a word doc to a pdf in the regular files app.. I don’t have an iOS device with me just now to check.

Word to pdf isn’t a problem on iOS, iPadOS or MacOS. The question relates to the other way round ?

The op asked for both ways around.
My bad. I focused on the not-provided-by-the-OS-solution. ? similar to MacOS you can easily export a text document, layout or drawing to PDF on iPadOS/iOS. Importing a PDF to edit it is a different problem. While there are apps available for that, there are also free options like the one I referred to. But then again the result of such a conversion depends on the PDF…

Yes, you can do so in the regular app. It doesn't require a different app such as FileBrowser for Business to work.
Actually, just found out, Office 365 app for Mac, converts .pdf to word.

timestamp about 8.30!!! It was there but I never realised it was!
