viewing files on server

Hi,

I was wondering if there's any way to view and read only files on a server (as in it lists directories)

Some do, some don't by default...

Anyone know how to do this?

Ask the people running the server. May be able to connect by telnet or SSH. Also depends if they're running Mac, Windows, or Linux. Also depends what type of server. You'll need to provide much more info if you want help from us, otherwise ask the people you're connecting to.
