Viewing iPad stuff on an external monitor.

Hello all,

So I know that you can buy an adapter to hook up an external monitor to the iPad with VGA. I have also heard that only certain apps work with this and it is not a mirroring of displays.

Here are my needs (what iNeed this thing to display on the external monitor)

1. PDF files
2. mp4 movies
3. photos

Any insight on how this works, what apps do it, etc. would be VERY appreciated!

The video and youtube apps display externally only.

Good reader does not work for PDF's.

what about videos that i made in imovie and converted to mp4? will these display externally?

Apparently, "YES" is the most confirmation I can give you outside of trying it yourself.

I need confirmation of these things before I can buy, it's for the company i work for.
