Viewing media over DVR?

Hi. I have an Explorer 8300 HD..

I also have a Mac Mini Intel and want to know if there is a way i can view my pictures/etc on the Mac Mini from the DVR. Also, is there a way to retrieve my saved shows from the DVR and save them to my Mac Mini? Is this possible over a phone line/ethernet/wireless?

If your 8300 HD has a firewire port on it (some do), try iRecord. It let's you record from a firewire mountable device.

Lots of those SA Explorers have the Firewire disabled in the firmware though - it depends on if your provider has them activated.
