Vintage Imac; new lease of life???

I currently have a vintage (i prefer not to use old as its only 1 yr old!!) imac G5 1.8Gz 2gb RAM and am thinking of boosting its performance....
I have just spent last night playing with my uncles new Imac g5, 24" 2.8gz intel core duo and i am in awe!
Does anyone know if i will be able to purchase a Mac Pro and then use the current screen in my iMac instead of buying a new monitor? If so will i be able to run two systems?

I am afraid you can't reuse iMac screens. Your best bet is to sell it.

Don't think you can

However, you could always try taking the guts out and putting an average screen in there... But I don't think it would work too well.

Btw, you uncle's iMac is not a G5, it runs on intel.

beat me to it and Im fairly sure that if his iMac is 1 year old then thats intel based too
