Virgin Media and New Router???

Hi all,

I’m currently on Virgin 350mb 3.0 hub. I bought a new router D-Link Gaming AX1800 which has helped a lot with some of my ring devices, as some had bad signal strength

My question is even though the VM hub is in modem mode, the speed test via D-Links app says I’m hitting 350 but if I use the Speedtest app my iPhone hits about 50mb even though before the new router came it was doing 350 on average, any ideas to what I’ve done wrong?

Have you tested on other devices? It would be good to test something wired to see if wired vs. wifi is much different.

Sounds like the D-Link is doing its job of managing your devices correctly. it won't let a mobile device pull 350 when it is not needed.
