Doing some research for this thread, I tried running Microsoft Virtual PC both on Bootcamp and in VMWare Fusion (using the Bootcamp partition as the virtual hard disk). It worked as expected in Bootcamp, but had some major problems in Fusion.
1) I first got an error that the internet could not be used.
2) Then after another minute or so, a long list of errors which was eventually sent to Apple when I had to force quit Fusion because it would no longer respond.
Virtual PC is what I use at work (pro Web Developer) on a Windows XP machine, and it comes it very handy as both the program and the virtual images are free from Microsoft. I have tried other solutions to running multiple versions of IE, including MultipleIEs, but we have had some problems with that in the past.
I will be content with running Virtual PC in Bootcamp to test websites in IE6 and IE7, but was wondering if anyone else has ran Virtual PC or any other virtualization program successfully in Fusion or even Parallels? specifically to run multiple versions of IE?
