Hello, mates! :)
This thread is for those who run Windows on their Mac thru Virtual Machine technology (Parallels Desktop, VM Ware Fusion, BootCamp e.t.c.) and have some issues or questions about it.

I have my first question about Parallels Desktop.
How can I connect to Internet on my Mac being in Windows thru Parallels?
Does anyone know where can I get step by step guide that will explain me in detail how to connect my Virtual Machine to Internet?
Thx. :)

It really isn't that hard to do. First, in Parallels, choose which method you want it to use. You can either have Parallels share your Mac's Internet connection (which means you don't have to set up anything on Windows), or tell it to use its own (which means setting up Windows to connect to the Internet just like you would on a normal Windows installation - assuming you know how this is done). If you're not sure, just set it up to share your Mac's connection - this is the easiest, and requires no further work on your part.

Sharing the connection is the best way, I will do that later Today, I may post some pics.

BootCamp isn't virtual, if you startu your mac with the <option> key, you will be able to select which bootable partition you want to use, if you shoose the partition created with bootcamp and it has Windows installed, it will run natively.
However if you use that Partition with one of the virtualization programs: parallels, fusion, you will running a virtual machine.

cool that worked now is it alright to delete the parrels virtual machine and remove parrallels or will that mess up the machine in fusion. i already like fusion better, i like the unity better than parralels coherence.

use the parallels uninstaller from the CD or disk image (is you downloaded it). this will remove the parallels viertual machine which is in your Documents folder and not touch the VMware virtual machine which is in ~/Library/Application Support/VMware Fusion/Virtual Machines

You can use the free trial and check on your own.
Maximize your mac's RAM for better performance and try BootCamp for native speed test.

Shared connectiong Pics still pending.

When I started Parallels and told it to use my Boot Camp XP it set everything up automatically including printers and internet connection. I didn't have to do anything.
