Virtual PC or Real PC? Which is better? Which do you recommend?

well i would wait for this new real pc to come out, let some of us use it, then we will give you a fair opinion. but if this real pc company isnt all talk, real pc will be the winner.

How can you ask that when it hasn't come out yet and you have no specific tests of an un-finished product vs. one that has been out.

For Right now 1:21 EST 4/17 I think that VPC wins because it runs and is available to be bought. :p

I have had nothing but headaches with VPC. I have a DP 1.25 with 1 Gig RAM and I've allocated tons or Ram onto the Win98 version and still it is as slow as using a Pentium Pro (or slower).

I cannot get my mac internal modem to work correctly and there are constant technical issues and crashes. I am using VPC 6.0 DOS with my licensed copy of Win98 installed. If there is another product out there that can do the job more efficiently and with less hassle, I'm there!

Just my 2 cents (Canadian - so worth a lot less...).

Real PC looks promising, but VPC is shipping and ain't so bad

If the Real PC product can do what they say it will, that will be nice, but it doesn't do that now, so if you need it now, get VPC. I'm running XP on VPC on a dual 800. Subjectively it feels less responsive than my wife's PII-366 laptop, but it's still quite usable.
