I have a question about Virtual PC. How well does Virtual PC work, and does it run Fidelity's investment software? I'm not interetsed myself, but someone I know is.

VPC emulates a X86 processor meaning that you can run Windows, and therefore anything that needs Windows to run with some exceptions. Whilst it can run Windows, it does so very slowly and it has no 3D graphics support so although it'll probably be fine with a finance app, it'll still be slow.
To speed it up, turn off any eye candy and if given the choice, run an older version of Windows.

Virtual PC will run everything an x86 processor runs, only slower. It does not have 3d support at all. It was designed mostly for office-like applications.922 said:
As for the speed, looking at your system in your sig, I would say that you can put XP in it and run them with no problems at all.
I have VPC running XP on my system, and it's painfully slow (I only got it so I could use a program that does my tax for me). The only real benefit is spider solitaire. But your comp is quite a bit better, so it will probably run what you need it to reasonably well.
