I am getting many text messages that my iPhone 14 is compromised and sending spam messages. Some appear to be from Google and others saying it's my phone. I have not clicked on any of the links. I report and delete all messages. Furthermore, I researched it, and it says this is a scam to get me to click on the link. What would you do? How do I stop these? I have never downloaded any third party apps. So far it is just annoying but want to know should I be concerned?

Some good discussion here about junk texts and dealing with them.

Other than that, you’re doing everything you can and correctly. Basically, need to ignore them, delete them, don’t click links, don’t send “stop”.

The phone is not compromised, they have no way of knowing, Google etc would have no idea who you are. Any interaction with them just marks your number as a live one.

No need to worry about them. Don't respond or click anything. Just delete them and move on with life.

If your phone is truly compromised, it won't be sending text messages to itself. The last thing it wants to do is alert the end user to remove the virus.
