Is there any way to fix this? I think this might be due to a slight misalignment that Apple's quality control just don't want to care about since... ever. I've had several pairs of AirPods since they first launched back in 2016 and all of them had at least some areas where the "seam" was quite noticeable. Moreover, the glossy plastic they use to make the cases is like the easiest to scratch, besides being a skin oil and fingerprint magnet. Can't believe Apple is still using this cheap, plastic material to make the new AirPods "Pro".

Below is a picture to illustrate what I mean by "seam" (it's not mine but it's how it looks):

Its the part thats meant to be always in your ear and not visible to anyone while in use. A non-apple move, having in mind their attention to detail, but this might be the only way to produce them.

However in the promotional material they kind of hide the seam so that it is barely visible (as it is supposed to be). On the 2nd gen AirPods I have now you can clearly see the seam on the left airpod whereas on the right it is ok and mostly as shown in promotional pictures. I’m afraid that if I spend €279 on the Pros this might happen as well. Honestly for the price they charge I think they should use some sort of metal and not that cheap, scratchy plastic... Or if they insist on using cheap plastic material they should at least implement a stricter quality control policy not allowing units with noticeable seams out of the factory. But apparently most units have those which, then again, don’t match the product as depicted in promotional material.

It’s kind of like when you go to a fast food restaurant, none of the images of the food look quite the same as the finished product lol.
