I'll be visiting Sweden shortly and hoping to find a PAYG micro-sim. The Nordic countries being advanced in such matters, I hope that this will be easy... Any tips would be much appreciated!

Take a bottle of nice whiskey (or whisky, whatever). No, seriously, alcohol costs an arm a nd a leg there, so a nice bottle of liquor is almost worth its' weight in gold.

Won't be a problem. I was in the same situation about a month ago (pre iPhone 4 launch) and both Telia and 3 offered PAYG micro-sims for the iPad. Both have a 99 SEK up-front fee which includes a week's worth of usage. After that you can buy access per day/week/month with 3 being the cheaper of the two (and in my testing around Stockholm seem to be the better option in terms of performance). If memory serves me right 3 has a much higher cap as well, 10 or 20GB, can't recall which

3 is your best to go with. Also, pick up the alcohol at the duty free shop in the airport. A bottle of absolut is 140 sek there and about 350 sek in systembolaget(the alcohol store). If you are coming into stockholm it will be really easy to find a 3 store.

Thanks folks, helpful. Now I just need to decide between all those single malts...

Take 'em all! When I was a wee nipper (25 years ago mind you) my mum used to pay for our holiday in Sweden with alcohol (I'm German) and a bottle of whiskey used to get you a full day fishing charter. Better exchange rate that cash :D
