Vista 64 Bit on an new Imac

I searched the forum for Vista 64 Bit and Mac, and it seems that people have had troubles finding drivers!

I heard that Mac Pro has 64 Bit drivers, but the Laptops line does not.



Does apple have some basic vista 64 Bit Drivers for the new Imac?

What kind of driver would one use with a 64 Bit Vista OS? For Geforce 8800 GS for example?


My Imac wont arrive in two weeks or so, but I just started searching, but couldnt find anything on nvidia.com . I was wondering what would happen if I just used a regular 8800 GS driver!? Or can a bad driver destroy the hardware?

is there a site like http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/ which makes custom laptop drivers, for like... Mac computers in boot camp?

why on earth would you want Vista? The whole point of converting to mac is to avoid Vista. I should know I converted just less than 4 hours ago... From here on its OSX, XP pro and DOS 3.1 boot camp willingly...

im running 64 bit vista on a penryn Macbook Pro and everything i needed (drivers, updates etc) was either done with bootcamp or software update on the vista side.

Yeah, I chatted a bit with a couple of my friends who has had macs from the first release, and they had their share of complaint on OSX. OS response and governor OSX telling them what to do was their major complaint. We've worked together most of our lives, and I had my share of Mac OS/OSX experience.

To be quite honest, I have a hard time imagining an OS where you are more cattle hurdled than on Vista. Even XP has the audacity to take full focus on an automated update, regardless of you being in the middle of a drag-and-drop and demand you to reboot, or start the same annoying cycle in 20 minutes. No ****-off switch. Vista will ask you rudely to clear out of the system settings. This along with its forward/back button confusion and Wizards of hell, plus a Tyrolean cabin hut aesthetics, I'll take my chances on OSX any day. On this iMac I don't feel OS lag as of yet. But I'll get discontempt soon enough - you'll see.
