Vista and Gaming

Since vista is free and I need windows solely for gaming purposes only, will most games work at full performance in vista? I think for the most part I am interested in games like:
Age of Empires 3
F.E.A.R.
Starsiege 2845
Oblivion

I have heard there are some issues, which games dont work?

i think he/she means the beta.
The games should work fine, but, you will only be able to use it until the 1st of june.

just to let you know that apparently gaming performance in vista is slower than it is in xp. It its gonna be the same in the final version of vista when its released. Dunno why this is the case but if you want to do some smooth gaming id stick with windoze xp if you can.
