Having only ever installed a Full OS via bootcamp, I have a Win 7 upgrade. Ny question is do I go over to the OS X side of things, and do an install from the bootcamp assistant or do I simply install the upgrade while I am running on Vista on the actual partition?

Thanks it appears that you install on the partition and then update the Bootcamp drivers via the Snow Leopard disk.

As a followup to this, I was getting an "unable to create install folder" error. The issue was the fact that bootcamp 3.0 needed to be uninstalled first, and then the Windows 7 upgrade went as planned. I reinstalled the 3.0 drivers and now everything works.

There is an active issue out on support forums on Google.

Despite the fact that Apple tells us that bootcamp support for Win 7 is coming later in the year, with a little work around it works now.
