Vista driver question/bootcamp

I recently purchased a Macbook Pro OS X 10.5.5, and the version of bootcamp that came preinstalled on the Mac is 2.0. Using bootcamp I was able to partition the drive and successfully install Vista, the only problem is that 3 items failed to install correctly (all 3 are listed in device manager with yellow exclamation!!) They are:
1. Ethernet controller (ethernet card)
2. Network controller (wireless....i think)
3. Isight (camera)

I attempted to create a driver disk, but bootcamp assistant does not offer that ability (although i read it did........if I access bootcamp via utilities it only offers 2 choices, none of which have anything to do with creating a vista drivers disk)

I'd like to get all 3 items installed properly

If anyone can offer some insight into this it would be greatly appreciated.

Well first off only the discontinued Boot Camp Beta that worked with Tiger offered that abiity (and requirement) to burn a drivers disk.

I'm not sure from your post if you have done this, but the drivers for your Leopard based Boot Camp installation are achieved two ways- first by inserting your Leopard installer disk (or more likely in your case the System Restore Disk #1 that came with your new system) with your system booted into Windows. It will autorun an installer to set up the initial drivers. Secondly since you are using Vista, you need to download the Boot Camp 2.1 installer/updater for Vista 32 bit or Vista 64 bit from the Apple Boot Camp Support page (on the right side) as appropriate for your Vista version.

This downloads an exe file which is then run after booting into Windows- and all it does is to install some updated drivers for either of the Vista versions depending on which updater is used.

One or both of those things (depending on what you have already done of course) should take care of your driver issues. Re-running either of those processes will re-intall the drivers in case it was just a disk writing error if you have already done both of them.

Still not working

I boot into Vista, insert the mac 0s x install CD #1, the found new hardware wizard appears, i click next, then it says, "please insert the CD for ethernet controller....eventually I
m given the message that windows was unable to locate drivers for this device and thats where it stops. The network controller is never mentioned nor is the isight. Something is definitly amiss here because all info points to me just having to simply put in the MAC 0s install CD, but it is not working

Any Ideas?

I just checked the link provided by the first responder to this thread. According to the Mac website, i should be able to browse the cd with windows explorer....I can't. If i put the CD in ( os x install CD #1), if I go to my computer, click on the CD drive, I see NO files...WTF? did I get a pirated CD or something?

Is your CPU installation disc a Leopard one? Or does it contain Tiger? Only Leopard has the newer Boot Camp, where you can pop your disc in and use it in Windows. When in Windows, you will see the Boot Camp 'partition' on the disc and be able to install the drivers. Tiger installation discs didn't offer this functionality, so no luck if yours is a Tiger one. You'll have to download the Boot Camp updater from one of the following Apple support pages.

Actually just to clarify, the Boot Camp 2.1 Updaters at those pages have nothing at all to do with updating the Boot Camp Assistant app unfortunately. They are just .exe driver packages that update the drivers in a person's Windows installation to work with XP SP3, Vista 32 bit and Vista 64 bit. They are run from within Windows.

At this point in time, Apple does not offer the release version of the Boot Camp Assistant (2.0 as opposed to the Boot Camp Beta up to 1.4 that was freely released in Tiger times)- it only comes on the Leopard installer disk (or the system restore disks of any Mac that shipped with Leopard).
