I've installed Vista Ultimate (via an XP upgrade) using Bootcamp in my 20" iMac, and am unable to get any sound.

I've searched around for help and copied the xp drivers and installed them and all appeared to work, but still no sound. The little speaker icon in the taskbar has a red cross next to it and if I hover over it it says "No Audio Output Device is Installed".

If I look in device manager (Sound, Video and game controllers), I cant see there's a problem - there is no yellow exclamation mark next to "AV/C Subunit" or "SigmaTel High Definition Audio Codec"

Any help would be appreciated!

This might not work for you since you appear to have a SigmaTel card, but mb you could check their site for a more up to date driver. Also check and see if you have a SigmaTel control panel and try to glean some info from there (model #, driver version, etc).

As for me, I installed the latest drivers (Dec '07 v.1.83) from the RealTek website and it fixed the issue for me.
