Please can someone run through what "corporate email" is?

Not a joke, I hear it more and more and I'm wondering what it means? Is there an international standard for corporate email, or is it just a buzzword/jargon.

I naïvely thought email was just email and could be obtained using POP or IMAP and sent using SMTP.

"corporate email" = email server + calendar server + shared contacts + task list, etc. Basically e-mail plus any number of other features.

Also, exchange (and a couple of other servers) have a protocol different from IMAP and POP that you can use.

The first half of the video is, well, gibberish. It's saying "hey, look we have a POP3 server". woo-hoo

the 2nd half shows their web-app which isn't all that impressive IMO, but is better than you'll get out of the box from any other mail server...unless you, you know, just sync your contacts with your iphone.
