Hi,

I'm running Windows Ultimate 64-bit on my 27" iMac w/ a 2.8GHz Core i7 860 CPU, 2 TB HD, ATI Radeon HD 4850M 512MB (with Catalyst 10.6 drivers).

Recently I've started seeing visual artefacts, I.E, screen flashing white (often when looking up and it'll pretty much stay that way until I look down again), objects flashing white, multi coloured artefacts on the screen when playing sometimes, in fact one map had several hundred tree's (when in view) flashing normal to grey and back again, it looked like they had grey boxes behind the tree.

I notice my GPU temperature is quite high -- 83 for the Shader Core/MEMIO, 73 for DESPIO, and 73 for the GPU temp, according to GPU-Z 4.4. But, well under 100c, it never goes past 83.

The settings I'm using for Crysis Warhead are (at 2560x1440, no AA, full screen)
Texture Quality: Good Visuals, Objects Quality: Good Visuals, Shadows Quality: Good Performance, Physics Quality: Best Visuals, Water Quality: Good Performance, Game Effects Quality: Custom / Best Visuals, Volumetric, Effects Quality: Best Visuals, Shaders Quality: Good Visuals, Postprocessing Quality: Best Visuals, Particles Quality: Best Visual, Sound Quality: Best Visuals, Motion Blur: Good Performance

Changing the resolution to 1920x1080 and then shortly after 1280x720 and using Windowed mode seemed to reduce the problem a little bit (I.E, the screen seemed like it had a grey fog over it, I could just see, compared to the previous pure white screen with a few colours here and there, sky looked a bit different too but still the issue occurs), and the GPU temperatures also dropped about 2-3C. The time before last I'd tried dropping the settings all to their lowest as well, that didn't do anything either.

I have seen this on two different maps though, I'm thinking it's either my GPU overheating or dying, or my 10.6 drivers are screwing up.

These images show you the issues:

Any thoughts on what might be happening?
