I have a 15 Pro Max so I just got Apple‘s visual intelligence. It seems just to be a link to Google searches or check GPT am I missing something?

What were you expecting? It's basically a visual image search function - exactly how it was marketed and shown in the previews etc.

It's been available for a while already on the 16 models.

All things Apple AI is garbage. Writing tools is hands down the best thing released. IMO

I love it. Writing tools and this are the only two things I’ve been impressed with on my 15Pro and M4 Mini. All the rest can just leave. Sure, visual intelligence would be better if it didn’t use chatgpt and google, but I still consider it far better to be able to just hit my action button and have either function on hand. The main plus for me is not having to take photos of plants anymore to learn what they are. I spent a good 20 minutes walking around my yard learning about grasses and flowers and trees. It was really cool. Hopefully Apple will develop their own versions to replace chatgpt and google.

Apple doesn’t have their own Web search engine. That is, how would the feature sift through online stores, images, and other Web content without utilizing something such as Google or Bing services?

In other words, unfortunately, it can only be so much of an improvement.

Okay. Well… 🤔 😐

In the Apple presentation on visual intelligence, they showed taking a picture of a business card and visual intelligence could interpret and transfer the information to the contacts app, I have an iPhone 15 Pro, loaded visual intelligence and can find now way to do this, it is another Apple fantasy.....
