Hello guys.

I have been using a 2021 MBP 14" M1 Pro base model. Recently updated to the MacOS Ventura, and I started having this problem. While I was on the Monterey, I never had this issue.

When I need to code something on the VSCode, it sometimes flickers. The entire screen goes black and gets back in 1 sec. This happens randomly, but so annoying. Sometimes it happen when I press enter, sometimes it happen when I type a letter after waiting 5-6 seconds. So random.

This is the setup I am experiencing the issue on:
- MBP display opens the VSCode full-screen (ProMotion FPS)
- External Philips FullHD display (HDMI connection and 60 FPS) has a udemy course open full-screen on Safari
- Nothing more runs on background

I checked google and stackoverflow and github, no valid answer found yet.
Does anyone experience the same issue after Ventura? any idea how to fix this?

May be related - I see the same with Jetbrains IntelliJ IDEA. To avoid I need to set the JVM properties (for the IDE) to disable metal with

-Dsun.java2d.metal=false

I also have an m1 running the 13.1 beta, with an external 4K display connected by USB-C
