How good is the full screen visualisation quality on an iBook or a 12" PB? Which one do you think would be better to output to a TV?

they should both be fine for running out to a TV, as long as you aren't doing anything else while running the visualizer (which is hard to do anyways, when it is taking up the whole screen). both models have very strong video cards, and the CPU will run at 100% usage during any visualization, no matter what. neither should drop frames.

don't get the powerbook just for visualization, lol. that would be a HUGE waste of ~3-400$.

Right now I'm pretty hung between an iBook and the 12" PB so I'm starting to split hairs. ;) I'm leaning more towards the PB though just 'cause it's a bit more future proof.

go for the powerbook. i went and saw them the other day. they are very cute indeed. i think it's worth 1800$, personally. i am just saying, not because it runs visualization slightly better. there are a number of other reasons, like the G4 processor... it will last you considerably longer just because it is a next gen processor.
